Haven't updated since the 18th! Wow basicly half a month, I am really sorry summer has happened!
On the 21st we celebrated Caleb turning 5! Yup another birthday for another amazing son. The day was a quiet one with preseants then playing as we planned on celebrating big like we did with Ethan.
So Friday we headed to Calgary where we stayed in a hotel for 2 nights, spending Friday night watching movies and eating pizza. Saturday we headed to Calgary zoo which admittedly I am no longer a fan of! The kids complained they were bored and well most the animals were missing! Yup was one big nature walk. Highlight of the trip though butterfly sactuary, The boys, Andy and myself found ourselves amazed in there so many butterflies and they loved us!!!!!
Yes there was a few other fab animals we saw though....
That night we headed to a splash park for the kids to burn off steam before some cake and bed as the next day would be a heafty drive to Ol' Macdonalds farm!
Sunday we arrived at Old Macdonalds farm to see MUD no sandy beach but loads of mud ERRRRR. Yes it took alot to get use to but when we did it was awsome such a great place, the petting zoo had donkies, horses, pigs and more!!!
After a week away we decided Drew needed to come back to work (ok his bosses did). So we headed home stopping in Drumheller at the fossil world as we missed it on our trip the first time. It was AWSOME!!!! the boys did panning and found Genuine gems, did a fossil dig for REAL fossils and even got to take them home!!!! We saw Canadas Animatronic T.Rex too which was really impressive, downside is that is ALL they had to offer and it cost me $50 to get just me and the boys in!!!!
We got home and life never returned to normal (as expected when does it with us).... i took my friend Naomi and her family to the Medicine hat Stampeade for the day after we got family tickets from the RSM here. It was military day so all the army guys had to be in their uniform (Andy was at work so missed it) The stameade was fab a real Canadian experience. The carnival part was not to impressive but still enjoyable, the kids enjoyed a few rides and were charmers to the My96 radio lady who gave us 4 family tickets to Calaway park!!!
Friday night came next so we went to a house warming then to the bar and WOW that was the first in a very long time I have seen Drew drunk! He soon sobered as the next moring we were off to the Stampeade again so Drew could see for himself the joys of an expo...
Saturday we jumped in the car for a quick Crozier adventure to Calaway park which was a great day out! Loads of rides, the boys compeated in a lego nijago contest and won head bands, they got pulled onto stage to sing with the band and won glasses in the carnival games!
So yes our August has been mega eventful and not spent in the house AT ALL hense no posting (barely made it in to do this today!). I hope you all have had a great summer too and are enjoying it to the max too.
