update.........

Alright so slowly but definatly, I am giving this blog a face lift. You may have noticed a few tabs at the top of this blog, they bring you to more posts about..... DYI home remidies, Easy crafts for kids, and my goals. I will soon be adding a Weight watch link as well as I soon plan on starting my 30 day shred, my 30 days without bad drinks, learning to run and more weight loss challenges.

Please make yourself comfy, get a drink and enjoy these posts. I hope this helps me to more regularly post, as my downfall to posting is I feel my blog is a mess!

Now onto an update before I go on about messes, and how my house is a mess right now... I do need to make a better chore chart.... How come I am the only one with a chore chart????? When should the kids start doing chores? When willt h ekids start listening to me? That reminds me I need to start being alot more strict with them, but still be a fun mommy of coarse. Ooooo What should our next craft be? Where should we venture next..Yes ok my mind is always 1000 Miles per minute, must update must update must UPDATE...

We have been to Edmonton this weekend, in what can only be described as the most stressful vacation EVER!!!! My kids have lost respect for us (or so I feel) they are being so naughty and when you are sick, stuck in a car and a wee bit stressed out over immigration things it can be a serious head ache!

We had to spend a night in Calgary as all hotels in Edmonton were fully booked and nobody was able to house us. This wasn't to bad a stop infact was probably the highlight of our entire trip! We headed to the Telus Spark which admittedly was a bit over priced but cheaper then when we went to Calgary's shakers which was a complete dissapointment. Anyways, we enjoyed our day with alot of hand on family fun.

The next day we headed to Edmonton where Drew took VERY poorly and we were stuck in a hotel room with WIRED kids Arghghhhhh...... Thankfully it was a 24 hour bug and we were soon enjoying ourselves at the mall, shopping, Mini golphing and exploring.
Then came immigration and big ARGHHHHHHHHHH....... I brought  all the paper work I was asked and then was told I needed more so we hd to give papers to things we need (removals papers we need to give the movers, etc.) The lady put them in a folder and told us they would be back with us in 2 months!!!! I tried explaining I need the papers for removals BEFORE 2 months and was told I also need my immigration sorted and so now we sit and wait and hope it comes sooner rather then later. Stress was high and the kids were of coarse wired so after $2000 was given to this lady to sort out our immigration we left with high hopes that everything get's sorted.

Finally home we are feeling alot more settled and well less stressed.

My kids have chore charts. Well, the older 2 do. They are both responsible for tidying their rooms before they go to bed and making their beds in the morning. Also, they alternate on who gets to help me unload the dishwasher. I am slowly adding in other things as well.

One of the big things I'm adding in is that C has to clean the bathroom floors once a week now. Like you, I'm the only female in the house so I guarantee that I'm not stinking up the floors. I'm handing that one off to the boys.

I still do most of the cleaning though. As the kids get older I'll pass more on to them, but as my oldest is only 5 they aren't responsible enough yet to be doing a lot of the things on my lists.
