December 2011 Continued

From Edmonton we headed to Jasper, Now Jasper is beautiful, We went to the same hotel as last year only this year to be greeted by a rude horrible manager who was very mean. She booked us into our room then made us upgrade do to a mistake SHE had made on the data base, then we enjoyed a dip in the roof top hot tub and Drews top was stolen, then we had our neighbors fighting and swearing all night and the heat wasn't working then check out time the Manager checked us out and tried again to charge me $150 more!!! I walked out payingt he right price after nearly a half hour of arguing was not a place I will go again and I do not reccomend the Whistler in to ANYONE. Such horrible service.

Now we headed off the next morning after that horrible night and headed to Lake louise, this drive was AMAZING, we went through the icefeilds and had a scary pee break (see if you can see why in the pictures). Lake Louise as I said in my September post is amazing year round. This time we were greeted by Whiskey Jacks that ate out of our hands and followed us for more, We went to see the ice castle they built and play in the snow was a great day.

after this we headed sledding in Banff where we also got our hotel for the next adventure.

Our last day in Banff had come so we headed Canyon walking at Johnsons Canyon, to see the frozen waterfalls, I had done this with the girls last year and brought the boys here with Jason in summer 2007 so was nice to revisit and show Drew. We then headed to do some ice skating and more sledding before taking a dip in the Hot springs. Mmmmmm... Dinner was from the Spagetti factory and WOW everyone go LOVE it there was fab and the service AMAZING....

Now we were on our way to my favorite part of the trip Kananaskis. I had booked us a Merry mountain package which I suggest everyone do if they are in Canada is MAGICAL.... Upon arrival we were given gift bags for all the kids which included reindeer ears and cards and more. We were told the elves had a toy making class on so headed to make some jewely boxes (can you tell which is mine LOL. Then it was off for a quick swim before meeting up with Mrs Claus to write a letter to santa (one in which the next morning we awoke to a personal responce from the big man himself!!!). We played in the playroom well Drew and Ethan went skating and drank hot chocolate (mason had lost intrest and Caleb was cold). Then went to meet Dasher, Prancer and Commet who loved having us or pictures! Sitting around the fire listening to carollers well we waited for the Managers recption was fab and relaxing after being go go go... The managers reciption was FAB the boys went mental eating lovely meals and tons of chocolate and sweets, I enjoyed my warmed spiced baileys. Face painting, Characters drawn and tattoos were offered to the kids as we enjoyed more singing and meeting the staff it was amazing.

The next day was Christmas eve, We met the eleves again and made sock puppets, head bands and Caleb made Noonoo a scarf... Drew took the kids swimming and I snuck off to book him a massage, then met up and he left for his suprise and I took the kids to play in the playroom meeting up again to make Gingerbread house with the elves. After finishing that we seen the reindeer again and then went skating until dinner, where we were met by the same amazing service as the night before. Then it was off to the yuler log ceremony and then for a elf to come read the boys a bedtime story... Finally it was off to Midnight mass for Caleb and me.
