Camping weekend

So this weekend held a first for me....

drew set off Friday to do a Banff to Jasper Relay with some friends and I took the boys camping on my own (well with friends but without Drew). I never have had the confidence to do big trips with the boys without Drew and this took me completly out of my comfort zone. I cancalled on Wensday, Thursday and Friday but my friends Heather and Robin refused to take my no as an answer and pushed me and I am so glad they did.

We arrived and I for the first time ever pitched a tent (yes no big deal for some but for a first timer I am pretty proud.) the kids shot off to the park which was a small path from our site and I got sorted then started on a lovley dinner of kebab, ceaser salad and corn on the cob was lush. all us adults enjoyed some drinks around the fire well the kids all ran around the very empty campground with glow sticks was amazing and so stress free.

The next day everyone was off to go Zip lining but as my little men are just a bit to little we opt out and had a day of mini zips and walking the dogs instead.

That night gain the adults sat around the fire talking, drinking and enjoying well the kids adventured. I think I finally got mine all in bed for 11pm, Mason being the last of coarse! He lay beside me telling me how much fun camping was and how much he loved me was fantastic and a true sign of success to me.

Sunday we all packed up ready for home but not before stopping for some mini golfing. Mason enjoyed learning well Caleb was a amazing fromt he first putt! After we all played our games  and everyone was happy we had some icecream and began our ride home to Ralston.

safe and sound we arrive at home, Drew was still in Japser doing his relay so I figured I could get everythign sorted before he arrived home.... NOPE I locked myself out, lost my keys and had no way in. Lucky for me I was invited to a BBQ earlier in the week at my neighbors house so went there and sat waiting for time to pass and hubby to come home.
