Alright so hit my first wall! Many of you may know for new years I made a resolution to be happier, stop letting people bring me down and take advantage of me, this was sometihng I let happen ALOT in 2009 and funny enough got so depressed I had to see a doctor. Anyways NO I didn't go on antidepressants doctor told me straight out I didn't need them but instead I spoke with a councilor who after assesment diagnosed me with PTSD (post tramatic stress disorder) Now I will not go into detail about why and or how he came to this conclussion but it makes alot of sense and explains why I am the way I am now. I am still doing sessions and hope to be able to live with this disorder and not let it take over me.
Anyways off track here. As I said I hit my first road block today with the happiness of 2010, Yes I knew this was going to have to eventually come and thankfully it's not that big a deal but it still is something not so nice and I don't know what to do. this is the situation:
Before Christmas I helped a friend clear out her daughters room take all the stuff her daughter was to old for and out grown out and make it look nice. Anyways as a thankyou there was a certain toy Mason LOVED and always played with inwhich her daughter had outgrown she told me I could have it. LOVELY idea! my hands were full so I couldn't take the toy at the time. Christmas rush soon came and so did Masons birthday. I recieved a message off this friend sayign she had got Mason a gift for his birthday but it was a used gift, then proceeded to tell me it was the one she had already given me that I had yet to pick up. STILL I think this is a lovely thing to do and am gratious that she knows Mason loves this toy and was going to give it to him. Now tonight I went on the all to clever facebook to see she has put the toy on a board for sale!!!!! Now I don't know what to say or think as I thought the toy was a thank you/birthday gift. Anyhow yes little things eat me up but I do think it's a bit rude.
Anyhow I need to find the positive in this so please help me in doing so....
Apart from that today has been a quiet one with family we havent even done anytihng to be fair, cleaned and sorted and ready for if school decides to open tomorrow.

Shoot Sami thats really lame. Actually I have to say that I still think its rude that she chose to make it his birthday gift when it was just supposed to be a thank you gift.
Here's what I would do:
I wouldnt bring it up yet. I would make arrangements to visit your friend or have her visit you. Tell her something like how you missed her on mason's birthday & you really want to get together.
Maybe she replaced the toy with something else, who knows? See if she gives him anything. From this, I would decide what to do next (either everything will be ok, or you might want to confront her, or you might want to walk away).
Let me know how it works out but I definitely think you should get together with her & pretend you didnt see the toy on sale at first.
Hope this helps!
I completely understand what you are dealing with when it comes to post tramatic stress. I experienced that back in June when attacked on the LRT going home. I felt helpless and I felt like I couldn't even protect my own girlfriend that I would do anything for. Therefore I made the change in August of 2009 to ensure not to let anyone push me around ever again. You made the Change at New years which was fantastic. Mine was a bit earlier but still same type of disorder.
Either way, it sucks completely she did that to you. I remember a long time ago when someone (aka my dad) bought me a sprinkler, and one day I went to go use it and he had given it to my cousin. Man I was so upset.
Thats kind of away from the topic I know. But you know, don't stress. Don't let it get you down because even though in your mind it was wrong of her (and it was) you just need to slow down and realize what amazing things you do have. The great time you had helping clean that room and the great time you experienced with her as a friend.
Love yea Sami and don't stress too much of the small stuff. Just remember that we are all the same. I stress way too much of the small stuff and just have to step back and remember its not just me in this world.
