Icy dips, Getting Pampered and Greek for NAdines 24th!

A couple Thursday stories for you 1st MUDDY PUDDLES (or should I say frozen ones.) Now the School is not in my best books right now. We live 5 minutes fromt he school and have to go through a gate where we are met by an armer guard (show our passes and are allowed entry) You then have to walk on a path about 2 soccer feilds longto get into the school. Well It's been snowing and raining and we have an ice rink on this path where for the week all you have seen is people fall. Now SOMEONE is responcilbe for clearing this or at the very least gritting it. The boys have fallen a few times but never anything serious until Thursday that is! We are walking and the ice is melting making slippy icy with puddles and mounds of snow to walk over. Caleb being Caleb only decided to fall head first into the BIGGEST puddle there was and was soaked haed to toe in this icy water so as you can imagine NOT chuffed. We got to school found a spare pair of clothes and changed him. I will Kick up a fuss Friday!

Alright please don't think Im an alcohalic! Lately has been one important event after another so it's been drink drink drink! Thursday was Ladies PAMPER night at our old church hall. Tickets were bought for a tenner each and everything was sorted UNTIL andy came in to tell me (on Wensday) he was on 24hr. Guard so 6AM Thurs-6AM Fri! So franticly I called and called and called all the sitters I know with no advail until finally the last one, Tabetha (A brownie leader) agreed! So panic of missing a good night over. Kids went to bed sprisingly early which was nice as it allowed me time to get ready to go.

Now Pamper night was GREAT, we were welcomed with gift bags with loads of little freebies and one main gift each, I got a 50ml Davidoff Cool waters perfume, My neighbor Alison a Armani purse! It was so nice, we walked around getting hand massages with lemon grass, Thai neck and shoulder massages. Nadine won a raffle (the biggest prize). and I got my nail done......

Yes you read right NAIL not NAILS. Now I was finally met with my con. I went to the nails table were the lass grabs my hand and unleashed her furry on my pinkie nail. Last time I had my nails done was before my wedding (I remember why there annoying and hurt getting put on). Well she did a fab job on my nail was gob smacked. Asked Ummm "Can I get the rest done?" I was met with my responce "It cost 10 Euro per nail 1st one is free") 90 Euros for the rest to get done!!!!! Ummmmm NO. I kindly thanked her for my one nail which will take weeks to get off my finger and walked away.


SO WAHOO we are now onto Friday!!!! I went to school to complain about the path, but as I walked to go up I seen 5 Army men all picking the ice away so FINALLY they decided to do something about it. Today is Nadines birthday as well so we all went to a lovely Greek place for a nice meal (and WAY to much meat). It was really nice but I don't tihnk it's a place I would go again. Nadine loved the gift Jennie and I got her )I tihnk it was her only one) which brings me to ask when you go to an ADULTS birthday party do you bring a gift? Why does this stop happening as much as we get old as lets be honest we all love to recieve!
