Trier

Alright so we are in Spangdalem right now, which is beautiful! Our lodge is amazing so big and just fantastic defintaly will come back here again. Now it's an American army base so things are a bit differant but I like it. Question for all you Americans, at random points of the day/night the national anthem bellows out over big speakers, at this point everyone freezes and stands paying respect. I know you stand for your Anthem and what not but why does it keep playing at random times? Ok so now question is asked onto the next item of buisness hahaha.

Yesterday we went to a place called Trier, What a beautiful city! So much history and beauty is in the place. A little piece of history for you all: Trier is Germany's oldest city,Capital of the former Westren Roman Empire, Seat of Roman Emperors as well as Prince Electors, Home of Karl Marx, Seriously this place is like a little treasure cheast with all it's little beauties.

Trier is 2000 years old and is founded by Prince Trebeta who found it by running away from his stepmother Queen Semiranis. However in the Mid-fifties Julius Ceaser stumbled upon Trier and in 16 BC it officially became a Roman city. (After centeries go by it soon became part of the German empire).

WW2 came along and Trier was destroyed nearly 50% 1600 buildings and homes were devastated. but it did not destroy the beauty of this place which is truly breath taking.

We enjoyed a train tour around the city seeing old Roman bathes (one of the biggest), Old Museums, Monuments and more! The boys were made a Dragon out of simple wire which we got to watch be made AMAZING!

We then came back to the lodge where I tried Popeyes chicken for the first time YUMMY and yes so much better then KFC! then we played in the park until it got dark and we came to cuddle up and watch a movie. Now Movie Review "Where the wild things are" IS HORRIBLE! I have never seen a kids movie so boring and dragged out let alone one that gives such bad examples to our kids, I can't believe this movie was made after the book (which actually was good). Dissapointed to the max!
