First stop we took was at the Luxemburg American Cemetary. Now this is 50.5 Acres of graves, holding 5,076 fallen soldiers from WW2 in the battle of the buldge. This was hugely a humbling moment even for me a Canadian. We took pictures, prayed and just adired there commitment and honor.
Next it was off to Muller Valley which is AMAZING driving or hiking! I wish I could live here it's just WOW. Andy was feeling sick and Mason was sleeping so the boys and I left them and went hiking on our own little adventure up the steep mountains, through the amazing gorges as we followed the narrow sandstone trails and encountered caves and waterfalls and just all around breath taking views. I really hope my pictures say a bit for me as I don't even know where to begin apart from this was what heaven would be for me (only warmer heeheehee).
Last stop we took was to Viandan Castle, now this place is the largest and most beautiful feudal residences of the romanesque and gothic periods in Europe. It was built between the 11th-14th centuries and well it shows with how amazing it is. The boys loved looking at the differant type of body armour and well we enjoyed the history behind it. I would of never found this place if it wasn't for a family member of mine Christien, so Thank you for letting us in on this amazing place.
Next it was time for home and thats when it happened! Our Tomtom stopped working! We were miles away from our hotel in Spangdalhem and had only a map (which I am horrid at reading). So as you can tell was a bit dramatic but that's not it OH NO............ Our clear 8 above day turned freezing and along came VERY heavy winds and get ready a blizzard! Out of nowhere! We made it though obviously and then the Tomtom decided to work and the sun came out and it got hot again.
