Soo we had parent teacher interviews at the very end of last week. Caleb was first one up and I must say not shocked at all, he is a total teachers pet! No problems at all, everythign is how it should be he is one of the more popular boys and a joy to teach. Left happy but nervous as I know Ethan is not enjoying or doing to well. So his teacher started off telling me everything I already knew then the shock hit, Ethan is actually doing amazing considering he is 5 and all the kids in his class are 7!!!!!! I knew they put him up a year but didn't realise it was that big a age gap, all in all for Ethan's age and level he is doing above and beyond and as his teacher reckons expected to only go higher and do better so WAHOO WEE MEN!!!!!!
We have been greeted and treated with the sight of deer all over the village as well this week, and for bragging rights I must add that 4/6 of them have been sleeping in our garden every night!!!!! Is so cool and alot more welcome then the prarie dogs who destroy my garden with there little holes!
Saturday brought a bit more excitment as I left first thing in the morning to see Naja my hairdresser fromt he time I was 15 until I moved to Germany 6 years ago!!!!! I was so warmly welcomed and shocked at the fact I was remembered. Naja was given full rights to do whatever he liked to my hair and I left feeling a million dollars like always when I visit him. I met the rest of the family in the mall for lunch and a tiny bit of shopping. We then dropped my mom off at home and got the boys geared up for some sledding at rundle park which was ALOT of fun!!!! Finally finished the night off with 2 tickets to the Oilers game!!!!! Andy and I finally have seen what it looks like to professionally play hockey (I still think Im better heeheehee). Was so awsome I can't wait to go again.
Sunday we had a LONG ride home! 6 hours of driving and we were only in Calgary due to the bad fog. We decided it best to stop at Cross iron mills mall and let the weather change well we shopped. WOW is all I can say about the place is so amazing a definate must see. The boys were impressed by the *real* santa at the outdoor world and I was impressed by well everything!!! after 3 hours in basicly 1 shop we decided to head back on the road for another 3 hours finally arriving at home at 9pm. The long car drive gave Andy and I a chance to talk about somthing I have been wantign to do for years. We have agreed to become Surrogate parents!!!!!!! I cannot wait and know this is going to be a long journey specially as I am already dying to find someone to hold a bun for. COME ON peoples let me have your baby!
