New years!

The 31st we were truly welcomed back to reality with a 5AM wake up call from Mason... Since we were still at my moms and the boys woke shortly after Mason we piled them into the van and headed to Mcdonalds as they had a 24 hour one with indoor playpark. We had a play with the boys which was actually really fun!

we headed to West edmonton mall after, Andy took Ethan and Caleb to play mini golf well Mason and I did some shopping and got some cinnomon buns from my favorite spot (cinnazio). we all met up after there game and played speed boats by the pirate ship (they suck and are a total waste of your time and money), we then caught a sealion show before heading to do some food shopping. Yes food shopping you heard me right, My mom and dad always had lobster tail for newyears and Andy and I thought it would be nice to make her the same meal as my dad is gone now. Lobster is $15 here and yes I am complaining, We bought 5 lobster tails and I kid you not I don't think all 5 would of filled me. Yes it was nice and it was special but I don't think anyone honestly filled up. My mom went downhill and couldn't even eat hers so blahhh our idea was a nice flop.....

We then headed to the Ledge for a walk with my sister and Jose, I wanted to do something nice with the kids but this was even too much it was FREEZING out and they did not enjoy it. This said we spent 5 minutes at the ledge before bringing them home and putting them to bed.

from there we headed to a mutual friend of my sister and I (Mike's house). We played games, did Kinect and wii and rang in the new years in style. My sister being the Designated driver enabled us all to get pretty drunk and enjoy this time so THANKS Belinda!!!!!

Now everyone has newyear resolutions and mine is going to be broken into the whole 12 months.... I am a happy person as you know if you read my blog but I think everyone can be happier so I am working the little quirks out to make that possible. I got the idea from the happiness project and am 100% ready for this..

January brings working on Energy, meaning earlier bedtimes, earlier wake up times, working out, clearing out, finishing those tasks I don't get around too ever (Driving), and well acting energetic. Will explain all this to you tomorrow better for now I am off to ready before going to bed... Yes early bedtime for me means 9:30pm lights out.

here is a picture or two from our car ride home from Edmonton...

I finally got my drivers license last May and now I don't know how I lived without it, it is sooo nice to not always have to wait for a ride or have somebody wait on you to give you a ride! You won't regret it! I don't think it mattered much one way or another when I didn't have any kids, the bus more than sufficed, but with two kids I definitely prefer driving! Also it's nice that I can go by myself for groceries and Chris can stay home with the kiddos.
