Friday Was amazing woke up got packed and headed to the gym where I was to meet a bus and loads of the girls of Ralston to embark on what we call a wives exercise. Yes I have done a wives exercise before but this was NOTHING like it it was so much better. We play games on the 4 hour bus trip to Trails end camp (little known fact Mike who I use to Aupair for help create this camp). Anyways we got there in time for dinner which was a lovely Chinese and then a good old friendly game of netball *a game I have never played before* Well it's safe to say my team WON which was awesome specially since there was a prize (loads of cosmetics and bath stuff from La Senza. This then lead to a night of drinking, dancing and trying to be circus freaks.
Morning came a little to quickly and we were divided into 4 groups mine being the early morning horse riding group (LOVED IT). We all got to choose our horses and I got Ed who was a lively horse with amazing character and very good listening skills *if he were a man he'd be perfect*. We went for a 3 hour ride to a place called straberry hill and seen the most amazing view before heading back for our next adventure.
Now our next adventure was a first for me and also a item on my bucket list So WAHOO me!!!!! We got in a van after some lunch at the ranch and were off to Kananaskis where we were met some nice guys who were taking us on our white water adventure, YUP White water rafting!!!!!! It was amazing such a great experience though I really wish I could have done alot more harder stuff and bigger drops, no complaints though was so great. We managed to go for a swim int he end too and let me tell you it was FREEZING, this didn't help when the instructor decided to pick me up and chuck me into a downward current (think that's what it's called) I was fully imerced in the water Brrrrr........... This totally woke me up for our nights adventure...
Night came and so did our Carribean fancy dress dinner party. Food was amazing (yes Carribean)and the costumes even better. I cannot believe the effort put into costumes. I again won for most creative costume (I was a Medicine man) I got a La senza bathrobe which I am actually in right now LOVE IT! We did team challenges (again my team won LOL (Champagne and goodies) and we just drunk and danced the night away again.
By morning we were all tired but loaded willing into the bus for another trip to Kananaskis. We were'nt rafting this time however we were going mountain biking!!! Away we went on a great adventure with amazing views. I forgot how much I miss bike riding I want a bike now. I rode in front with our instructor and just had flash bike after flash back of good childhood memories mainly with my best friend Jason (we Soooooooooooo need to go for a ride when I come for a visit)
Yes we were all ready for bed after this but we were not done 1 more activity then it was a long bus ride home to our families... Our final experience was another one off of my bucket list Yup two things in 1 weekend how amazing! Rock Climbing, Wow this is challenging and to be honest I am not to keen on it. I got up the mountain 2 times but did struggle and find it very difficult so got a bit upset with myself for not being better (yes I know we all can't be great at everything but I like to try LOL). Anyways was an experience I was glad I got the chance to try and know I will not do again (Unless I get to in a package deal again hahaha). So that was my weekend Amazing hey. Was pleased to be home UNTIL.........................
Came home and the boys were all home safe and sound after an AMAZING weekend in Edmonton with Auntie Belinda and Grandma Kanis (pictures below of there fun at the Valley zoo, Dinoland and 2 parks!
Well now you ask what could the drama be right. WELL Drew was in the bathroom washing up and coughed and blood shot out of his nose and mouth, he said where he got the snip was still bleeding really badly as well so I sent him to hospital where he was admitted and has now been on bedrest needing to go into the med centre ever 3 hours for a needle poor lad. thankfully he is feeling good now and will be at work for Monday :D
